The original t-shirts made from the hydes of the Great Wooly Mammoth were expensive and activist groups at the time protested their purchase and use. There after the t-shirt went through a series of improvements from great thinkers like Archimedes who, using a complex series of calculations, gave the t-shirt it's infamous "T" shape. Einstein greatly influenced style of t-shirt wearers by inventing and regularly sporting the "bed head" hair style.

Finally about 3 years ago Al Gore's invention of the information super-highway really took off and allowed bloggers and twitter-ers to take beer influenced t-shirt sales to a whole new gratifying and instantaneous (shipping time aside) shopping experience.
